“She is a beautiful woman” Grandfather said, talking about his plane. “Of course, next to Manuela her beauty is insignificant, but still, that happens to any woman when compared to Manuela! Well, except you hon, but I’ve always said you’re the exception to the rule. You’re one of a kind! So, getting back to the point: she is a beautiful airplane, no doubts there! When I asked the Bishop to come over, I mentioned we wanted to baptize our beautiful youngest little girl.”

“And, I arranged for a driver to pick up the Bishop in Managua early in the morning” remarked my grandmother. “Sure enough he arrived, very elegantly dressed as usual, in a black frock with red cuffs and a red collar. He brought me flowers!” Grandmother reminisced thoughtfully.

“Red roses, that little Bishop was always after you! But then, I can´t honestly say I don´t understand him.” Grandfather exclaimed and my grandmother blushed a bit.

Since I was a little girl, I knew that Grandfather was so deeply in love with Grandmother that he got carried away. I always loved to see how much he loved her and how she loved him back. Even then, I wished that someday, I would find someone that loved me so madly, and that I could feel equally in love with him!
