One of the most successful ways to learn a language, and especially to learn to understand how it sounds, is, without a doubt, through its songs and music.
Each song is part of the cultural heritage of the English speaking culture. The songs in this section include a glossary, a simple dictionary type of explanation, of the words or idiomatic expressions used in these songs, which many occasions, take us back to a that specific period of time when they were used as part of the everyday language.
All the songs, includes various recordings interpreted by different artists. Through this exercise, we can listen to the multiple different variations in the pronunciation, and the various arrangements to each of these the musical themes.
I love music. Since I can remember, music has been an important part of my daily experience! In my life, I’ve learned to play the guitar, the piano, the drums, the flute, the base, among other instruments, each with its own particular voice. I have played alone and with different jazz, blues, rock and classical groups, great people that have been a part of making the music happen.. Each one of these musical events, is a moment that will be forever in my memories.
I also teach English, and in this section of my website, I have intended to bring these two great passions together: teaching English and enjoying music. I have found, throughout the years, that they complement each other, and that music is an exciting way to understand a language and the culture that it represents.
So, in my way,I’ve tried to bring these two loves of my life together and help people to, at the same time, improve their English and also enjoy its wonderful music, . It is with these melodic expressions of the sound of the English language that you, the reader of this text, may be able to improve your understanding of the of the language, for speaking English, as you can be said of any language, is a most beautiful Human Experience. Finally, I will be posting more songs, If this is something that you like and want more, come back for more! Thank you, for being a part of this experience…
