A happy flight home
Chapter 12. The Atlantic Coast and its Caribbean pirates
So, we flew back, after that historical meal, and arrived early Sunday afternoon. Just in time, because next day, Mother and Grandmother came back to León.
“My, you two are tanned! Where were you this weekend?” Grandmother asked when she saw us.
“Oh, the kid wasn’t feeling well, seemed like stomach problems. I thought, the best thing to do, is head to the beach, and that´s exactly what we did!” Grandfather promptly replied, winking at me.
Later, when we were alone, he said to me: “See! No need to say white, black or blue lies. It´s true we spent time on the beach!” With that said, he left laughing to himself to have a drink of rum with Grandmother.
