Chapter 12. The Atlantic Coast and its Caribbean pirates
“I have good news and bad news, which do you prefer?”
“So, which is the good news, then?” I asked, hesitantly.
“The seafood is delicious and the beach is beyond beautiful,” he answered, laughing at my dubious look.
“And… the bad news is?”
“Let’s just say, that we may have to improvise a bit, for this place doesn’t have an airport, not even an airstrip, like in Rivas. Don’t you worry! We’re going to land on a street. I suggest we pick an avenue that has no traffic; and while we’re at it, let’s choose a street that is wide enough for the plane. Sound like a plan?”
So we flew south for some time as we both were lost in our thoughts. Grandfather sighted the town before I did. I was expecting a major city and gazed at the town below with mixed feelings.
“But it’s not a city, that’s a village, Grand Daddy” I exclaimed surprised. “You said we were going to pick a street? That’s easy, there’s only two to choose from!”
