“I’m off to enjoy a tintico. I have been looking forward to it for a long while ago! It seems that at Danilo’s I can find a good coffee. Would you care to join me, Jon Jairo? If it’s alright with you, I’d love to buy the first round.”

“Thank you, I appreciate the invitation, but I have some things that need to be done. If that’s all right with you, I’ll catch up later!”

“Enjoy your coffee. While you’re going down there, I strongly suggest that you check out the Cultural Center. It used to be a schoolhouse, you know. It was called the Sacred Heart of the Bethlimete Sisters School. That was at the beginning of the past century. That’s where the young women of the city and the nearby towns would study. Regrettably, the institution had funding problems, and it fell into a state of neglect and abandonment, eventually having to close down. Then one day, back in the nineties, a came back to visit here in Marsella, and I found that they were restoring the old schoolhouse, but on this occasion, its doors would open not to the young girls going to school, but to all the town’s people that would now visit to enjoy a wide range of cultural activities.”

“Now it houses a music and dance school, and they even teach chess, would you believe that? I recommend that you visit and check the photographic exhibit, it has these beautiful old-photos of the city, way back when it was so different and definitely something else.”

“Of course I will, thank you, Don Jon Jairo. I would certainly like to visit that place. After visiting the Cultural Center, I believe it will be time for lunch! I’m already starting to feel a bit hungry, you know? So, to be frank, I think that I’ll pass on the tintico until after lunch. That way, I’m even sure to enjoy it more!” He said with a smile in which the anticipation shined through, clear as daylight.
