Arriving at the entrance, he noticed a sign that had been placed on the side of the street. It was blocking the cars from parking in front of the building. The writing on the makeshift signboard immediately caught his attention, and he turned to read it.

We buy coffee. A little below it stated: Unloading zone.

Well, without a doubt, this is a coffee zone. I just can’t picture a street sign in Marseille that said: We buy coffee!

Pondering, in his mind, the differences he had encountered between his country and Colombia, Jean Marie went up to his room and, with an absent-mind, began to pick up his drawing supplies. Back on the street, in front of his hotel, he took out his pad and pens.      Satisfied with the panorama, the artist began to draw. Finishing his ink draft, he and went back into the hotel to get out of the heat of the sun. Before, he had stopped momentarily at a cafeteria by the lodging’s entrance. The small cafeteria, next to the reception, had a counter with high stools.
