The following morning, on Tuesday, Jean Marie woke in the Coffee Zone, happy as a lark and in an excellent, good mood. Once having got out of bed, his first inaugural act to celebrate his arrival on that morning was to yawn and stretch out as much as he could, wearing a playful smile of anticipation. After showering, the Frenchman quickly dressed. Then he carefully gathered his drawing materials and put them into his bag, which he always carried on his shoulder. With a considerable appetite driving him, he left to search for breakfast.

He found what he was looking for at Central Park. There was an old-looking big house with white walls; it surely had seen the decades go by without a care in the world, colorfully adorned with bright green verandas. It was the Fonda Paisa, its name carved out in golden yellow letters on a large, green sign decorated by a tobacco-colored hat.

The big house consisted of two floors, with tables capped by parasols placed on the park’s wide sidewalk in front of it. The spot invited one to merely sit at any of the tables and enjoy the lovely view of the park, as well as, the beautiful houses of many colors that bordered it. But this lower part of the house was only a café to drink coffee during the mild, sunny mornings or as well, enjoy a beer or some other drink in the fresh air of the afternoons while conversing with friends and sharing a pleasant, unhurried time.
