     Despite the fact that he traveled intensely, I had the privilege to immensely enjoy the pleasure of his company, and I did so, on many occasions. Further on through the years, and as I grew older, I was able to join in on some of his highly enlightening, as well as, entertaining wanderings in the plane. It was in an informal and semi-improvised way, an extension of my classroom at school.
     One day a person representing cotton plantation owners got in touch with Grandfather. They were farmers from nearby in León and wanted him to fumigate their crops as well. Grandfather set his conditions, and both parties immediately agreed. Grandfather and the farmers happily shook hands and closed the deal after meeting for lunch.

      Though many years have gone by, I still remember that morning clearly. I was a child and was lying in bed with a terrible fever. Possibly it was the third consecutive day I had been sick, and of course, I felt both desolate as indisposed. A terrible flu had spread through the school, and among many of my classmates, I had caught it. As the fevers ran high, Mother did all in her power to control them; however, it was all to no avail.
