The weekend niece. from the book, Searching for treasures

     On one happy day, Magnifico was waiting for them with the most utterly exciting news. A circus had arrived at Bogota. It had an incredible equine exhibition and show. Additionally, one of the other main attractions seemed to be off the charts. It consisted of a daring high trapeze act. Evidently, the two sisters were both struck and thrilled with these good tidings.

     Speechless, Carito listened to this exciting news.. a horse show! Her skin crawled with anticipation of this unique event. Mariana, could also not believe would she was hearing… a high trapeze! She tried to imagine a swing that was not limited by the bountiful branches of a tree.

     Completely taken in by this turn of events, the two young girls listened attentively to the details of this account. The circus was to arrive on Wednesday, and it would kick off with a splendid opening night show on Friday. Magnifico invited them to attend and proposed that they be there early that same Friday. “I know my way around a circus and can make sure we get and look around before the show begins.”
That was how things worked out. The early hours of the morning saw them sitting on the bus to Pereira City with Bogotá as their final destination. Unknowingly, both of them ultimately traveling to a new destiny and life on a bus packed with dreams and expectations!

     As far as Magnífico was concerned, it was his chance to relive the beloved atmosphere of circus life, such a vital part of his soul and the beating of his heart for his body. He realized with a pang, how much he actually missed that in his life! As for Carito and Mariana, it was the sisters first chance to appreciate at first hand that exotic world they had heard so much about through their long conversations with Magnifico. This was a world they had dreamed about and visited so many times in their dreams and long sleepless nights.

     That was how they finally made it to the circus’ doors. Magnifico actually did get them in. Then, they walked around and made their way to the big corral in the back. When Carito saw Azlan, they instantly recognized themselves as part of the same destiny. Carito said hello; Azlan invited her to ride… and the rest is history!
