Manizales City, Caldas. Colombia

Never did he suspect that he would return as a farmer to sow his outstanding talent in those lands at the foot of the Snowcapped Park. What’s more, that he would yet seed the fertile soils of the vivid imagination and ability of the two neighboring little girls, transmitting to their more than open mind, his life-long experiences and all his techniques accumulated over the years in his circus life. The youngest, Mariana, turned out to be singularly receptive to his teachings. By the time they finally built a makeshift trapeze, using one of the nearby trees, Magnifico found it hard to believe in the progress that he observed in her natural abilities.

The seed was indeed sown in a lush, fruitful soil, for together with the technical aspects of the scenic arts, Magnifico would talk to them about his life in that mysterious and so enticing world of a traveling circus. As time went by, the seed grew, and the flower began to bloom.

It was through Magnifico’s initiative and with the complete collaboration of the girls that the Magnificent Circus of the Marroqui Sisters was born. A circus without a carp, to be sure, but it was overflowing with both spirit and a wealth of dreams. Shortly after, the neighbors and the people nearby began to flock to the family farm on their presentation nights.
