“This is her platform and Odin’s is the opposite, the one on the right-hand side. This is how we prepare their grand entrance into the scene with their flying trapezes. Mariana is the youngest of the Marroqui sisters. In this precise moment, the drums begin to roll, the reflectors illuminate the artists up in the Heights in their platforms, the music explodes at its highest volume, and the public’s suspense begins to mount. Oh my God, you have to live it, and then you’ll see!”

“What’s more, there’s no point in my telling you any more. I’ll only warn you that you gonna love it. Your heart will freeze, and your blood will boil, as you watch this daring sequence of mortal jumps that they perform up in the heights! I’m not the one to say this, but, as for me, they are on the top of my list! Mark my words, you’ll see, they’re one of the major and most important attractions in the show!” Gabriel added with obvious, natural enthusiasm, the same which he always manifested when he was talking about his beloved circus.

“What happens is that your in love with Marianita; you crazy fool! Don’t pay attention to him, Oscar. My brother just drools for Marianita, and the truth be told, I can’t blame him .” Geronimo exclaimed while everybody laughed, and Gabriel blushed to the deepest red.

“Are they from Morocco?”, Oscar asked. Having heard his question, they all began to laugh.

Gabriel began to explain: “They’re more like your fellow countrywomen, my man. They come from your precisely country. Their last name may be Marroqui, but they’re more Colombian then the arepas you like to have for breakfast.”
