Without clearly understanding why, she tolerated them. Deep down inside she knew they didn’t act in bad faith, it was merely there ignorance.

After finishing breakfast, her Dad was definitely feeling in a better mood. So, he went out to visit the chicken coops, walking down the path thoughtfully. To be honest, he hadn’t bothered with that part of the farm in years, it had been doing quite alright, without the need for him to be on top of it.

For that very reason, he was totally taken aback when he entered the first of the chicken sheds. The hens were already out in the front yard, merrily going about their business, with no worries in the world. The floors beneath the berths had been removed and were impeccably clean. The water and food levels had been replenished in the dispensers and were at the optimum level. The coop was as spotlessly clean as if it was an operating room, ready for an operation, with everything aligned and at its place.

Surprised on the one hand, but very satisfied, deep down inside, he rushed out and crossed the patio to the second shed. Again, he was astonished! The little girl’s father just couldn’t believe his eyes. All the chores were done and the coop was also faultlessly bright and shiny. Actually, he had never seen the chicken coops in a better condition. Meanwhile, Camila was making time, while waiting for her father’s arrival.
